Helen Bucknell

Helen Bucknell (QUIPS Director) is a Quality and Infection Prevention Consultant who works nationally across a broad range of health care settings including day hospitals, acute care hospitals, ambulatory and community care services across Australia.

Helen is a presenter at local and national conferences, sharing her knowledge and experience with other professionals who share her vision for improving outcomes for all stakeholders in the Healthcare and associated services fields.

Helen is a credentialed member of the Australasian College for Infection Prevention and Control and has recently been recognized as a fellow of the Australasian Association for Quality in Health Care. As a Registered Nurse, she has worked in clinical risk and infection prevention for more than twenty years in both the public and private health care sectors. Helen now consults in quality and infection prevention. She has reviewed organizations against the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards. Assisting facilities to continuously improve consumer and staff safety is her focus. Her particular areas of interest include consumer and staff safety, education; including developing online learning, mentoring, accreditation reviews and support.
